For a Blend to be most succcessful, it must have a combination of all 3 notes

TOP NOTES:

The top note, sometimes called the head or outgoing note, is the part of the perfume that you smell immediately as it is applied to the skin. It consists of light, volatile fragrances, to give a good, and sometimes striking, first impression, although they quickly evaporate. It may last only for a few minutes. Added to the mixture after the middle notes, and may then be followed by some other substance which will help to bridge the scents together.

It is usually the selling point for the perfume as well as the first name listed.

Recommended Top Notes include :Chamomile, Peppermint, Orange, Lime.Lemon, Bergamot, Lavender, Rosewood. Ginger Cedarwood..

MIDDLE NOTE

The Middle Note Scent often evaporates after a short time, It usually consists of floral, spicy or woody components which determine the basic character & inspiration of the perfume, it will influence the smell - but not as long as BASE NOTE

The middle note, also called the medium note or heart, is the main section of the perfume, which becomes dominant after the top note has faded away, It is generally considered as the heart of the perfume and often server to cover up any unpleasant scents that may come from the base notes.

Recommended Middle Notes :Spicy/ Cinnamon, Clove, Nutmeg. Florals: Lavender, Rose,Gardenia, Lily of Valley, Jasmine,Ylang Ylang,Violet..

BASE NOTES - have a profound influence on the eventual scent result.

Base notes are the scents that last the longest in a perfume. Becoming more discernable within 20 min to over 2 hours after application.and can often remain for up to a day or two. Base notes 'fix' other essences to give staying power and are usually added first to a mixture, usually consisting of animalic, woody, resinous or crystalline components.

Recommended Base notes are Almond ,Amber, Bay Rum, Carnation,Cedar,Chypre, Fern, Frankincense, Lavender, Musk, Oakmoss, Patchouli, Sandalwood , Spiced Rum, Vanilla & Vetyver.
