Made in small batches to ensure highest quality, the formula is both alcohol-free and paraben-free and contains only natural essential oils for fragrance. Speaking of fragrance...this is a Bay Rum unlike any other. It is smooth and refined without being weak or fleeting. Top notes of Citrus give way to Bay Rum and Clove, which rest on a base of Sandalwood and a hint of Ylang Ylang. Use as a great all purpose lotion, and with its lingering Spicy, Woodsy scent you may not even feel the need to wear a cologne. Crafted with : Organic Aloe Juice, Organic Coconut Oil, Vegetable Glycerine to moisturize. Witch Hazel and Black Willowbark Extract to sooth skin and reduce redness. BAY RUM FAN LOVIN' IT ! Posted by S Leger Sep 2012 I'm enjoying the Gilbert Henry bay rum balm very much ! It absorbs completely after a few minutes and leaves the face feeling comfortable and soothed after shaving. Some balms that I've tried leaved the face feeling suffocated like floor wax that never dries. When I find out that they do this, I never buy them again (and that's usually the last time I use them) Gilbert Henry is the best balm yet ! It's a keeper ! I'll be reordering this one ! The fragrance of a good bay rum should fade away somewhat after it's been on for a while and the herbs have done their job.Gilbert Henry has a nice balance. I've gotten alot of compliments from the ladies about the scent. Seems a good thing just never goes out of style ! MANY STARS !!! WOW GH!

Very impressed with GH Bay Rum Posted by Mike on 30th Aug 2012 I purchased this after reading the review from Shaving 101's site. I was quite impressed with the scent, it rubs in the skin and dries non-greasy which was suprising to me since it's a balm. It also tigtened up my pores and has a slight stinging effect if I don't shave properly. It also helped with the irritation I was having on my neck. I bought the trial size and will get the larger size after this one is gone.

Overall this is great stuff. Posted by Unknown on 28th Aug 2012 I came across GH while shopping on straightrazordesign.com and purchased. This is really great stuff. First of all it is a very nice soothing balm with a slight tingling sensation. I really like this. It make my skin feel taunt and refreshed. However, it is not over powering. There is not the usual alcohol burn as with many aftershaves. If you like a strong alcohol feeling, this is clearly not for you. Second, the smell is very nice. I have been trying different colognes/aftershave recently. My wife has disliked all of them except one, which we both agreed was OK, but not great. However, she likes this aftershave, and so do I. Unfortunately, this is my first bay rum so I can't compare it with others. The fragrance is spicy and woodsy/nutty. There is a definite scent of clove when first applied, which remains but becomes more subtle with time. Some people may not like this initial strong sent. Hence the four star instead of a full five. To sum up I recommend you give this a try. You will probably like it (better yet your wife/girlfriend will like it) and it is not very expensive.

I was surprised to see it cream-like and delighted with the effect on my skin following shaving. My skin was soothed and smooth. I'm pleased.

Impressive in every way Posted by Steve on 20th Aug 2012 I had been looking for a after shave balm that would not leave my face feeling oily, and after reading the review in Shaving 101, I decided to order a sample of Gilbert Henry. I have been quite impressed with this product. Great bay rum smell, a little burn when it goes on, which quickly dissipates, leaving my face feeling refreshed, soothed, and definitely not oily. Also does a great job of reducing irritation and redness. I will definitely be buying more.
